How about a little humor!

In the beginning, Adam and Eve were naked, but they didn't know. After the
fall, they both wore fig leaves. But God clothed them in coats of animal skins.
I believe male and female were equal! GOD gave them different job descriptions.
Today, men and women both work and after the woman has her baby, she goes
back to work. When I was younger, women did not go as equals into the armed
forces. Now they both go into the armed services, if she has a baby, she's off
for a little while and then resumes her service. Meanwhile who's training up the
children. Training up is a full-time job.
In Christ there is neither male nor female. Is it right for her to work and be
out of the home while the man preaches. Does the woman work while the man
preaches. Maybe she could preach or teach while he works! Isn't she supposed
to be the weaker vessel!
Do you preach against women preachers, etc., while okaying the women in
your church to work outside the home. Who's training up the children. If she
works, she's probably not going to be quiet.
It just seems inconsistant for a minister to look to his wife to work, while he pursues
the ministry. Paul said that man first know how to take care of his own house, else
how can he take care of the Lord's house. That's how he learns to take care of the
house of the Lord. By taking care of his own house first. I believe that would include
taking care of his wife too. May require some sweat, but that's biblical too. By the
sweat of his brow.
God knows every situation but just some sincere thoughts I have had! Not to be
critical but to provoke thought. Personally I believe many things are out of order
today. When things are out of order, be it home, school, church, organiza tion,
government, things will eventually start backing up. And when the plumbing
begans to back up, it is best to deal with it. Don't put it off. It may be later
than we think!

Re: Do You Believe In Women Preachers?
Ἰουνία, ας, ἡ (SEG XVIII, 143 [c. 43 A.D.]; on the form s. Mlt-H. 155) Junia, compatriot or relative of Paul, one who like Paul suffered imprisonment, and distinguished among the apostles Ro 16:7 v.l. Ancient commentators took Andr. and Junia as a married couple. Some patristic identification (JFitzmyer, Anchor Bible: Romans, ’93, 737f) favors the reading of her name in the text (so NRSV, REB; RCervin, NTS 40, ’94, 464–70); in opposition to this identification Ltzm. (Hdb. ad loc.), who offers no evidence to support his statement that the context appears to exclude her from consideration. Moreover, unlike Ἰουνιᾶν (s. next entry), the form Ἰουνίαν is actually found so accented in some mss. (s. N. app.). For apostolic prestige accorded a woman s. Aa I, 235 app. ln. 2: ἰσαπόστολος of Thecla.
Ἰουνιᾶς, ᾶ, ὁ Junias (not found elsewh., could be a short form of the common Junianus; s. B-D-F §125, 2; Rob. 172) according to the rdg. of the N. text a Judean Christian, who was imprisoned w. Paul or shared a similar experience Ro 16:7; s. on Ἀνδρόνικος. But the accented form Ἰουνιᾶν has no support as such in the ms. tradition; for critique of B-D-R §125, 2, 6 in connection w. the N. rdg. s. UPlisch, NTS 42, ’96, 477f, n. 2. For the strong probability that a woman named Junia is meant s. prec. entry.—M-M.

Hey Prax...way to quote BAGD's....3rd edition! The 2nd edition is the most widely accepted amongst scholars, since it's well known that Gingrich waffled on quite a bit of the definitions from the 2nd edition. I think it's the 2nd edition [I think?] that says it "CANNOT be known for sure whether Junias be a man or woman." Thus, any "point" about Junias cannot be concrete.

If it says it cannot be known for sure why did you say earlier the BDAG says the word is a masculine noun??
