I like Jacob too, but once again, he runs the risk of being one-dimensional. He can tear Motown tunes up, he has the same soul as singers like Michael McDonald, James Ingram, guys like that.

An artist doesn't have to be jack of all trades... master something really well. He's Mr. Smooth on the stage... great performance charisma... and his voice is unique. I think he's going to be a star no matter what happens on AI this year.

Comparing Jacob to Michael McDonald is a HUGE compliment to Jacob IMO, though I like his voice. MM is a soul legend...
