Is that all? No more to it than that? Jesus had a lot of things to say about what you should do. You must feed the poor and clothe the naked, for example. And that was his criteria in separating the sheep from the goats -- He doesn't care about what you believed.

Even the scripture you quoted says there more to it than belief. You have to love one another.

So, I was right, then? The will of God is more than just belief?

Jesus also said that He is the vine and we are the branches, without Him, we can do nothing.

All that we do must be done through Christ, for we are in Christ. This is walking after the Spirit. It's not about what we do...it's about what we are. It's about our very identities being overwhelmed by the person of Jesus.

God doesn't want you to be a better person or a good Christian. God desires that Christ be formed in you, that you be conformed into the very image of Jesus. This is where religion goes wrong. The UPCI will teach people how to be great Pentecostals. But that's not teaching people how to surrender their identity and become... like Christ.

you said made pathetic blanket statement about the whole of what they teach. Personally I think it was bearing false witness.

So, when Jesus said you must feed the hungry, what He really meant was He must feed the hungry through you.

technically I would agree with this statement. We are his hands and feet. We are given the divine commandment and the perfection of it's realization is guided by the Spirit in how to do it more perfectly. Wihtout this response of "contextual" response of faith we are law breakers and are not partaking of him. We have broken communion with his Spirit. Which results in not being "in" him and not in fellowship with the body and cleansed by his blood.
