Quite frankly, the message that Jesus Christ is not God is not a good message. It strikes at the very core of the gospel IMO.

The core of the gospel is that Jesus Christ is the Lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world. The deity of Jesus isn't a make or break theology concerning salvation, in my opinion.
