Re: Banning Kids
maybe they want adult places with sin???????
Kids make most people behave.
public places should be open to everybody.
private places are different because they may be a place of sin.
No kids allowed, no me.
why??????
well if it is not fit for kids why would I, an adult go??????
No kids allowed then it is a place of sin as far as I am concerned.

Because it is not appropriate for your 4 year old son or daughter it is a sin? Do you read from the Songs of Solomon when they were/are that age? Or do you skip over the, as Monty Python would say, the naughty bits? Is it appropriate for young children to attend classes meant for young adults when teaching on human sexuality? Or is THAT all a sin because little 5 year Suzie should not be there, thus is a sin for all?
Do you also think that all vacation resorts need to be open to children of all ages?

Not quite. For instance, some places are just for the mature crowd. Does not denote sinful places. If you love the beach, and either have no children or have finished raising your children, you might just want some quiet time on the beach... with a good book and a picnic basket. Can't really enjoy the peace and serenity of the beach when there are noisy kids running, kicking sand, splashing water, whining, crying, screaming, giggling, begging, tattling, etc. Or some may not want to pay good money to have an experience ruined by kids - even if they're not bad kids. Like dining at a restaurant that didn't allow kids, sunbathing on a beach that didn't allow kids, and who on earth wouldn't prefer an airplane that didn't allow kids?

and if you think kids make people behave....obviously you havent been to some of the same places or seen some of the things I have....if some people want to do something they have no problem dragging their kids through the gutter. But yeah...kudos for them...

Re: Banning Kids
I did get a laugh that some of you twisted my words around. I was trying to be nice and not be lewd about what I meant. But it went over some of your heads.
There is nothing wrong with getting away for a week end. I was questioning the moral effects of banning children. jesus never banned children!!!!!
When the dicsples sent the children away jesus rebuked the 12.
I also noticed that a few of you added words to my statement.
Is it wise to go someplace that bans children????????
It is usaully a place of sin that does that.
A few years ago I went over seas, the children in the Ukraine walked in singe file and said no maam and no sir or put a yes there. They were very polite.
A friend of mine then came to the USA and could not believe how bad our children behave.
Once more I will say that everybody needs time away-like a week end. That is not banning children.

Moral effects of banning children? LOL I was not aware that enjoying a nice quite dinner with no children had moral effects.
I think they should implement this in movie theaters also. There is nothing worse than paying out the nose for a movie, and then having three teenage girls giggle and screw around with their cell phones the entire movie.
Why yes, that is a personal anecdote, why do you ask? lol

I was trying to see how it was against good morals to ban kids too. The scripture about Jesus not forbidding children was so that they could come to the FATHER to receive prayers, not if they could sit in movies and 5-star establishments beside adults. I think that's a huge stretch because with the same bible you can find other examples. Did Jesus take children everywhere with Him?
