It boggles my mind that preachers rail against all sorts of "sinful" things that harm the "temple" but they sit still and are lazy and won't hit the gym or go for a jog. Ya know what...I am enamored by the thoughts I have about the pastors I sat under in TN while growing up. The founding pastor, now bishop, still goes and mows the lawn at the church. Now he uses a John Deere, but he used to push mow it when it was smaller. He gets out and sweats like a dog doing, but he refuses to let others do it unless he is out traveling preaching. He isn't in tremendous shape, but he is in better shape than his siblings. His son is now the pastor and he might go to Cracker Barrel for breakfast, but he eats egg whites, turkey bacon and wheat toast. Not to mention he plays golf and walks most of the time when he plays and he also does some cardio stuff too. He is in fair shape, better than me really, but I am working hard at it. But I have learned from men like this that have a serious work ethic and care about their temple...that means a lot to me.
