I find that most normal everyday people are not deliberately cruel, they are just very self focused and often do not think about how what they say or do will affect others so may cause hurt.
But even real cruelty is just part of the spectrum of human behavior. Even children can exhibit real cruelty unless taught better.
Is there something in particular that is bothering you Matt? I see you posting a lot of questions... and you seem troubled... something I can help with maybe?
