I'm sorry, what I meant was the saxophone riff was a big part of it....I think some lyrics from it was I wanna feel you...meh I've been trying to find it. I don't hear a whole lot of saxophones anymore, I figured someone might recognize it offhand. It was like those old love songs from the world, a girl singing she was in love with Jesus. I wanna kneel in your presence...or I wanna something in your presence...

While it isn't this song specifically it IS this spirit which is the reason I am NOT a Pentecostal (at least in the OP Apostolic tradition) anymore. I simply do not believe that jean skirts, mighty poofs, and "tongues" caused by a preacher shaking someones head too much, a prerequisite to salvation.

The jean skirts, the "mighty poofs", the long sleeves, all the standards are simply to set us apart from the world. Not necessary for salvation, but to set apart from the world. Romans 12:2 tells us not to conform any longer to the patterns of this world. I'm sure you feel different, but I feel great about being able to be seen differently from the world.

In other words, conversation pieces. I guess the Hindu women have the right idea having the dot in the middle of their foreheads in that it sets them apart as well. Purple hair and a green scarf would also cause a similar "separation".

Haha! Didn't say I liked it... just that I was surprised that someone didn't peg it as the ultimate worship song... They used to sing in in church and the crowd would go wild. I also am no longer a Pentecostal in most senses of the word.
I don't like that Kari Jobi song either... I think it sensualizes Jesus. And hearing men sing it is even creepier. I didn't want to say that when I thought it was the song that someone was looking for and was just trying to be helpful.
Sorry...the title of the thread was 'your fav'... should have just stuck to that...
