Re: Windows 7 or Vista

I have XP, but my computer is down. I have been sharing my sister's computer which has Vista. She is saving up for a laptop and I suggested she get 7 instead of Vista. My husband says since I am sharing her computer I should buy her a laptop and use hers. I said, I don't think so. I will just get mine fixed and upgraded to 7 and maybe an extra hard drive, so I can go vroom, vroom.

For speed, you want to consider the processor, and the RAM (memory). And depending on what you do with your computer, the video card. I recommend a 2 GHZ Processor, and 2 GB RAM for Windows 7. That's just a good running computer that you won't have any problems loading stuff with. You can see what you're running by right clicking "Computer" and going down to properties.

In my professional opinion, I recommend at least a 2 GHz dual core CPU and 4 GB of RAM using Windows 7 64Bit.

2 GB of RAM is only 15-30 Dollars. Well worth it right now.
