Just wondering, with you guys (OPs), is it like in the Assembly of God, where the rhetoric in sermons and teaching (and in conversation with certain people, oh, like, say, pastors

) that "we don't drink"? But it was an open secret that "we" actually do. Not everyone, of course, but it was funny how many of us did.
In my case, we made an effort to keep it secret. A few close friends knew, and that's about it (though I knew, or suspected, that there were other secret clubs besides ours

) Had beer in the shopping cart one time, and spotted a friend from church cashiering -- so we very carefully steered the cart to another lane without her seeing.
