as far as the no man has seen God at anytime, there must be a different meaning or intent as a few of the prophets stated they say Him, Ezekiel, and isaiah. we even draw pictures today trying to depict what they saw.

IMO God is an invisible omnipresent Spirit which cannot be seen but already "in the beginning" (john 1:1-18). He had a form/image which was seen by many in the Old Testament and which became flesh.
Some trinitarians call this form/image God the Son and some call Him God the Word. Some OP's call this image/form the Word/Logos/ha-Kavod/Angel of YHWH/Memra/etc.

He said that Jesus would be too busy being the "Light" and that we would be too busy too doing stuff like worshiping and I vaguely remember getting the sense that he was teaching that we would be working somehow too-- but it wouldn't seem like work in our sense because it will be worship.

I have not heard that Jesus will no longer have that post-resurrection body which was seen and felt by the first century believers. Perhaps this is based on 2 Corinthians 5:16. Some believe Jesus does not have a body in Heaven and is no longer the Son of God but only exists as the Holy Spirit in the church/Body of Christ.

Exodus 33:11 And the Lord spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend. And he turned again into the camp: but his servant Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, departed not out of the tabernacle.
If we keep reading that chapter,
Exodus 33
20 And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live.
21 And the Lord said, Behold, there is a place by me, and thou shalt stand upon a rock:
22 And it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a clift of the rock, and will cover thee with my hand while I pass by:
23 And I will take away mine hand, and thou shalt see my back parts: but my face shall not be seen.
Moses did not literally see the FACE of God. The conversation between Moses and God was a direct (or intimate) conversation just like a man speaking to his friend. The rest of Israel did not have that privilege. They stood afar off, but Moses was privileged to walk up to the mountain of God and speak to God directly.
However, Moses did NOT SEE THE FACE of God literally
John 1:18 " No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him."
1 John 4:12 " No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us."
|
I've wondered if what Moses saw there on the mount was the body and back of Jesus Christ striped, mutilated, and beaten to a bloody pulp as described in Isaiah chapter 53.

He gave me the impression that the body of Jesus would be absorbed or go back to GOD or something-- sounds really crazy, but I am not using the theological terms he used.

Jesus body was raised, Hands feet flesh etc he has it all, and in like manner so will we.
If Jesus is to busy to make time for the people he saved that would contradict his very being.
He went into a house of Sinners and ate with them........!!!!!
When we get Home Were gonna be in His house with Him....... this is life and more abundant life.
the thought of such a idea is loopey. He is my personal savior. He came to save me. (yes you to) but he did it for me. While we may have work etc etc. while we might be working that garden in eden. You better believe He wants to walk with me in the cool of the day.
man if there is a hugging line and it takes 10,000 years to get to him to hug him. I will be in that line!!!!!!!! and then ill probably get in it again.
The whole purpose of salvation was that God wanted a family, (he wanted a Family) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: How many thrones?
We will see Jesus only as he dwells in unapproachable light whom no man has seen or can see.
1 Tim. 6:13-16
13 I give thee charge in the sight of God, who quickeneth all things, and before Christ Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate witnessed a good confession; 14 That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukeable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ: 15 Which in his times he shall shew , who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings , and Lord of lords ; 16 Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen , nor can see : to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen.
