Re: Thoughts On The Paranormal

Esaias, soul sleep is a lie from Hell and smells like smoke bro. I know it's error. God has revealed it to me through Scripture and personal experience. The soul continues on... even if you're afraid to admit that it does. If you want to believe that when we die it's "lights out"... be my guest. But false doctrine is false doctrine.

God has revealed to me through personal experience and Scripture that the immortal soul doctrine is false. The soul dies... even if you're afraid to admit that it does. If you want to believe that when we die we don't (applicable to ALL MANKIND)... be my guest.

But false doctrine is false doctrine.

I would be interested in your personal experience if you care to share?

Doctrine of devils.

God, angels, demons, are all spirits without material form. They are alive. One need not have a physical body to be a soul.

Christian materialism at it's best.

cause it doesnt make a difference either way. Time has no hold over you once you die. regardless if your asleep (dead) 2000 years or 10 seconds your eyes will awaken to judgment or redemption. and to you it will be instantly

it doesnt take away or add to your faith, so i saw its hardly a doctrine of devils, as in no way will it really effect your salvation.

The dead know time, and are perfectly conscious. It is written:

Revelation 6:8-10 (KJV)
9 And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held:
10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?
The Word of God testifies against this doctrine. Case closed.

Lol cased closed.. I would like to petition the re-opening of the case.

Your Honor i have more evidence i would like to present to you to contridict the statment made, This also is supported by the Bible.

may i draw your attention to

Ecclesiastes ch9

5 For the living know that they will die;
But the dead know nothing,
And they have no more reward,
For the memory of them is forgotten.

6 Also their love, their hatred, and their envy have now perished;
Nevermore will they have a share
In anything done under the sun.

10 Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might; for there is no work or device or knowledge or wisdom in the grave where you are going.

really what difference does it make. How does it it effect your salvation, its arguing over things that really will not have a effect on your relationship with Christ.

I personally dont believe in soul sleep but there is many scriptures that support that way of belief. to me it doesnt matter Its not a heaven or hell issue, as some make it out to be.

You're not thinking categorically. The dead know nothing with regards to what? What aspect of the dead know nothing? They have no more reward with regards to what? What spect of the dead do not have any more reward?

Also, if nevermore will they have a share in anything under the sun... doesn't this discount the notion of resurrection? Again, we have to think categorically. In what way will the dead no longer have any share in anything under the sun?

Truth vs. Error. Some atheists who believe that death brings oblivion will ask, if they are just going to be obliterated from existence... why worry??? They can choose to live as they please, indifferent to God and faith in Christ. Because, what difference will it make?

Defending truth effects our relationship with God. However, the topic doesn't directly effect my salvation. But, as I have illustrated above, it does effect the salvation of those yet to embrace Christ.

Let me play Devil's Advocate. Pretend I'm an atheist who believes that death brings oblivion. I ask.. If soul sleep and annihiliationism is true... what's the difference? I choose oblivion. It's what I believe in anyway.
