He told them that even those they performed miracles in His name, He did not know them, and cast them out.

He did not know them. What exactly does He mean by that?

Not necessarily. The subject is "Who are the REAL Christians?" My hypothesis is that only Jesus knows who they are.

And that is a reasonable hypothesis (in the context of Biblical theology). Nobody who believes the Bible can know if they will make it to heaven. (Byrd, don't even bother! )

Ah, but we can't stop there. In one spot it says "I never knew you, depart from me" despite what good works you do. Then, in Rev. it says all will be judged by their works. So, which is it?

A tricky balancing act getting into Heaven. Good works...Jesus knows me...good works...Jesus knows me...

Someone even more unbelieving than me () listed the Bible's ways of salvation. Came up with 196. Some of them are a stretch, to call them ways to be saved. Still, it is thought-provoking, I think.
