OK, here's mine...
My sister and I were playing Skip-Bo with the "man of my dreams"... Quite a few young people had been over at our house playing games, and the party had dwindled down to my sister, I, and him
Word had been going around that he liked someone, and in fact my sister believed that he liked her. So she was determined to pull the story out of him, and kept pestering him ... who do you like... are you going to ask her out... etc. etc. My sister actually liked him, and was hoping he'd eventually ask her out. She was quite persistent, and not a little more than a flirt... myself, I was shy, and couldn't believe how she was acting... because I liked him too... a lot!
Finally, after quite a bit of pestering from my sister, he lifted his head, turned and looked me in the eye, and said... "It's you I like, and would you go out with me?" Of course, I said YES! My sister got up in a huff and left him and I sitting at the table together.... and then he said to me... "You're the one I've been waiting for all my life." And at that moment, both of us knew we would be spending our lifetime together, and six months later we were married... I never really got a true knee on the ground proposal, we both just knew it from the moment we first looked each other in the eye, that we were meant to be together forever.
