It wasn't the loud part you missed. It was that they themselves are one of the most intolerant groups around.
They're intolerant of any person who doesn't accept their sin; any person who dares to simply believe that marriage is between a man and a women and not two people of the same sex; and it's expanding to any business that hires someone who believes in traditional marriage --- even when it has NOTHING to do with what their business role is.
Chik-fil-a and this DC Comics situation only proves their intolerance of people's personal beliefs.
It's none of their business what the personal belief of the DC Comics employee is. DC Comics, according to the Boston Globe link
here has been "a leader in incorporating gay characters into its comics. It had one of the first male gay kisses back in 1988."
There is no question DC Comics will not allow him to write any controversial storyline in the Superman comics he authors.
And there is absolutely nothing wrong with DC Comics hiring an award-winning science fiction writer (His aforementioned award-winning novel 'Ender's Game' starring Harrison Ford will be released this fall). Yet the intolerant gay community is demanding this guy be fired or they will boycott DC Comics.
Note: DC Comics has stated his personal beliefs are just that and he will not be fired. Good for them.
