I don't think I agree with that. I believe there are many committed and wouldn't necessarily share these experiences.

Re: Angels: Ministering Spirits
What about "guardian angels"?
Psalm 91:11 ESV
For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways.
Matthew 18:10 ESV
“See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you that in heaven their angels always see the face of my Father who is in heaven.
Hebrews 13:2 ESV
Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.
Psalm 34:7 ESV
The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them.
Hebrews 1:14 ESV
Are they not all ministering spirits sent out to serve for the sake of those who are to inherit salvation?

As long as we look to Jesus the author and finisher and are not "naming" our personal angel... Human beings can go too far in everything we do.

So you believe that many do encounter and communicate with angels and don't share their experiences?
If so... Why do you think they don't?

I know. I was once "experimenting" with the whole "name your angel" bit when I was a teenager. While trying to listen to my angel I thought I felt the name "Jaromiel" being impressed upon my mind. So I got all excited right. lol Well... I tried to look it up and found... nothing. Then a friend of mine mentioned that in Hebrew the "J" would probably be a "Y". So I looked up "Yaromiel". Again, nothing.
Well maybe a couple years ago I played with the word a bit more with changing vowels... and landed at the English transliteration... "Jeremiel". Able to do an internet search this time I discovered that there is indeed an angel known as "Jeremiel". He's commonly known as "Ramiel":
Meet Archangel Jeremiel, the Angel of Hopeful Visions and Dreams
http://angels.about.com/od/AngelsRel...l-Jeremiel.htm I found that slightly amusing. lol

Re: Angels: Ministering Spirits
But I don't think that my angel is actually "Jeremiel". The reason is... after all I've read about him, Jeremiel is an Archangel who escorts the souls of the deceased to Heaven for their life review. If my guardian angel is Jeremiel... nobody is getting their life review until I get my act together! LOL
So... I decided to try to follow the line of logic out for giggles.
IF his name is "Jeremiel" he's obviously not "The Jeremiel" of angelic lore (if he even exists). He'd have to be named after Jeremiel. Then I considered another possibility... maybe Jeremiel isn't necessarily a personal name. Maybe each Archangel has an "oder" of angels that they lead. For example, the Archangel Michael has hosts of angels that he leads into battle on behalf of Israel and the Church. If this is so... maybe I don't know his name... I just know the order he belongs to. And that's cool with me because I don't want to get to know him personally, after all, he's probably angry with me because I keep him so busy. Once I called him "Jake" because I was bored and on the road headed to work during a storm. I said, "Hey Jake, don't sleep on the job today." The impression came back, "Please just keep your eyes on the road... and don't forget to call Christina to let her know you made it to work safely." I said, "Sure thing.", and turned the radio up. LOL
And for the record... I'm not so impressed with him either. Because when I reflect at all the crazy things that's happened to me, I wonder if Jake isn't just a bit novice at the whole "guardian angel" gig. Oh well... I'm sure I'll get my ear full one day. I just rest in the fact that I'll be judging the angels one day. So far... Jake gets a "7" out of "10" because every winter I manage to hit something or get hit by something. lol
Boredom can put you in a strange fame of mind.

I've had a few experiences of almost being killed in a car accident. It felt as though someone picked up my car and set it down. In one instance, if not for God, there is no way my Camero would have stopped while heading toward a fence post. I was barreling toward it. It was right after I got in church. I think angels assist in that, although when I share my stories, I don't include that.

Re: Angels: Ministering Spirits
Don't get me wrong... I'm not saying me and my guardian angel don't get along or that we have differences. I'm just saying I have my concerns with the "mysterious ways" thing. I mean, what if a guardian angel is second rate? You know, like Magnum P.I., he carries a gun and looks all tough, but if he gets one solid punch in the chin from some demon he gets knocked out for 10 minutes. If something goes wrong and I do fall off a ladder putting up Christmas lights and end up in the hospital, people say, "God works in mysterious ways." Well... what if your guardian angel is just lazy or has ADD??? You know, he's watching you up on the ladder making sure you're all safe and stuff and suddenly he's like, "Hey look, a squirrel!", and BOOM. Flat on your back. A lot can happen in a couple minutes. Sometimes I feel like I'm taking up the slack. I'm sure Jake's a fine angel and really takes his work seriously... but maybe he should apply himself a little more. After all... this is the kingdom of heaven against the kingdom of darkness. C'mon Jake... get with it buddy. (jk) lol

I can see that. I've often entertained the idea that God's Spirit works through angels at times. For example... the Angel of the LORD seems like a normal angel and speaks to God at times... then at other times... he speaks as God. Instead of the ol' Trinitarian bit... what if God speaks through the angels, or works through the angels, as He does the prophets??? Thus... if angels did lift your car... maybe it was God.
Eh... my brain hurts. lol
