A person should doing everything in love but with truth. My point is mainly about the people that perpetuate lies of support like they do concerning those comments. It's one thing for the person in sin to justify the sin etc... It is a whole different issue concerning other MUST be positive comments people make ignoring things THEY KNOW, just so they are not judgmental. Being hard is relative. Being just is not. You can only speak of a possible hope and grace should they repent and talk about seeking God. It simply comes down to people justify ANYTHING POSITIVE anymore whether they are true to their beliefs or not just to NOT be thought of as judgmental. In the end BOTH are wrong as both are false witness.

I can see giving words of support for a new mother and her child under any circumstance... even if the situation were sinful. I can see giving the couple words of support and encouraging them to marry. God will give them space to come to realization and conviction. But there will come a point wherein they will have to make that decision or God will send corrective judgments. These judgments often result in splitting the couple or drawing them together in marriage.

Paul wrote...
1 Corinthians 7:8-9 (ESV)
8 To the unmarried and the widows I say that it is good for them to remain single as I am. 9 But if they cannot exercise self-control, they should marry. For it is better to marry than to burn with passion.
Truth is... some folks can't control their sexual needs. They should look to marry if this is the case. We should encourage them to grow in their relationship and marry. Healthy people need to have all their needs met (psychological, spiritual, and physical). Also, a child needs a stable home.

Give grace. Be compassionate. Encourage marriage. God will lead the couple into marriage... or reveal their hearts to one another and split the couple.
