Acts 10:
44 While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.
45 And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.
46 For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter,47 Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?

Re: Bombshell- Considering going back to the UPC
If only oneness pentecostals were as vocal and demanding about the blood of the Lamb of God and redemption as they are about tongues. Tongues has never redeemed a single individual and not a single individual has been redeemed by anything but the blood of the Lamb of God.

You can't argue with the Bible...

So the premise is that Acts 10 proves that tongues is proof of the initial evidence doctrine. "Good grief how obvious is that. It is so simple. You can't argue with the Bible."
Well, I do agree with Randy's sentiment, but ironically enough, it is oneness pentecostals who DO argue with the Bible.
I was going to answer the Acts 10 argument in my next post. But I'm going to start a fresh post. So I can copy and past the scripture, and help you guys out.

A simple yes or no will suffice - Have you ever spoken in tongues?

Yes. Was UPC for nearly 10 years. Baptized in Jesus name January 23,2000, received the Holy Ghost (in OP theology) in February that year. Was in UPC until 2008, then independant holiness church for 2 more years.
Then joined an ex-upc evangelist turned pastor who turned in his card, and helped in his church for a year.
Now attend a Bible church. Still believe in oneness and baptism in JN. Still believe in spiritual gifts, hence the subject matter and thread title.
