There was a pattern, no one is disputing that, the same manifestation was used for each group, so that the church would be unified. The Jews, Samaritans, and Gentiles spoke in tongues as Peter preached salvation to each group.
100 times out of 100?!! I just mentioned that the overwhelming majority of conversions in Acts don't include tongues.
Bro. Epley, deal with what the scripture really say, instead of a prepackaged reply that you know you can't support with scripture. This is the problem with all you UC brothers, is that you're not willing to honestly look at the scriptures, ya'll don't have a dialouge on what the scriptures actually say or mean. And ya'll can't answer questions, which is why most UCs don't survive in a format like this.

my friend you are breaking a cardinal rule by not using the whole context of scripture.
Acts 10 clarifies the point. EVERYONE who recieved the HG did so the same way. If I am writing a story, and I refer to an event multiple times I will not give all the detail every single time. Luke did not give every detail every time. BUT He gave plenty of detail and used very clear words.
Acts 10:
44 While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.
45 And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.
46 For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter,47 Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?
