Nobody knows God''s definition (of this or anything else)
...this is what is meant when it is written, "...comes by hearing, and hearing comes by..." a tricky phrase. God's definition should become clear to you, if you ask and have absorbed enough Scripture to apply passages to real~life experiences. In this case? The definition of "annihilation"? Well, maybe I haven't absorbed enough scripture, but it seems to me that annihilation, Biblically, is burning in hell. Wailing, gnashing of teeth, etc. Though it could mean something closer to the English word. I.e., you are, then you aren't.

I believe this needs to be understood in the context of "I AM," meaning that "evildoers will burn in hell forever" could also be translated "sin will always bring death, forevermore, and the sinner will always pay the price, until that brighter day." maybe.

It means being evaporated. To not exist anymore. Gone completely. You can read "The Fire that Consumes" by Fudge for a complete explanation of it.
