Here's your dilemma (some of you):

If a baby that dies goes to heaven for sure, then killing babies would be a very kind act.

You can't argue against that (but you will anyway).

It's relatively simple, Timmy! The Greater Good--ensuring that a precious child is guaranteed to spend eternity in the presence of Jesus--should be preferred by any parent against the mere possibility that the child would grow older only to rebel a little bit against God and be in a fatal car wreck and be damned. Easy choice.

Or more accurately, it is the Greatest Good one could do for a child, which is to be distinguished from the "kindest." Seems kindness refers to intention of the giver, not as much the receiver. My mother has done kind things for me that were not necessarily for my Greatest Good. To ensure salvation, however, would definitely be the greatest good for a child to receive, even if the parent is sinning to accomplish it, IMO.

The kindest thing is to raise the child right. As for "so what", you seem to believe it's ok to "play God" but murder is a sin.

I don't believe it is OK to play God.

Murder is wrong.

Raising a child "right" isn't 100% guaranteed. Killing him or her is. (In the theology of those who believe dead child goes to heaven.)

To be crystal clear, I don't believe it is kind (or for the greatest good) to kill a child. I don't believe a dead child goes to heaven or to hell. I believe death is the end. I am speaking from the point of view of the hell/heaven final destination crowd, and the age of accountability sub-crowd.

Killing a faithful "saved by grace" Christian grandmother wouldn't be a kind act. Yet she would go to Heaven just as the baby would.

Now... baby or grandmother... the killer must be confronted with hell's reality.
