Is TV now the norm in the UPCI home?

My main issue with this is will the Upci let other stuff go too over time. If TV is let in does anyone think that is a reason to fine another oneness church that still teaches on TV even if it were a 1 1/2 hour drive to get there if you had strong convections on it? I understand we as saints can keep it out but to sit under a group that allows it would seem like a double standard to me

This sounds like more of a statement I would have heard in the mid-eighties. I don't attend OP church anymore but one of the last message I heard bro. Booker preach (CD). He made the statement that pastors/preachers couldn't possibly cover everything anymore that needed to be said about where and what to do. I sort of broadened my own application of that to mean regardless of TV, internet, etc. I have to be the one to have enough wisdom and discernment to avoid those things which might harm my soul.

Yep. It all started when they allowed radio, red dresses and open toed shoes. Now look where they are. Next thing you know they'll just be plain charismatic!

What exactly are your objections to TV that apparently don't apply to the internet?

Do you know anyone who has gotten a divorce from being on the internet? How about from watching TV?

I can name you PASTORS and OFFICIALS who are no longer....because of the internet. Yet I can't think of a single person, even the peon saints, who have left their spouse because of TV.
