Re: Who Is The Holy Spirit?
Jesus told Nicodemus in John 3:5, "... Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. Romans 8:9 tells us, "...Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his."
John 4:22 Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.
23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
25 The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things.
26 Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he.

The Holy Spirit is God, per God.

While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, "Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them." (Acts 13:2)

Quote:
7 Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice,
8 Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness:
9 When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works forty years.
10 Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do alway err in their heart; and they have not known my ways.
11 So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.)
12 Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. (Hebrews 3:7-12)

Quote:
16 What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said:
“I will live with them
and walk among them,
and I will be their God,
and they will be my people.”[c]
17 Therefore,
“Come out from them
and be separate,
says the Lord.
Touch no unclean thing,
and I will receive you.”[d]
18 And,
“I will be a Father to you,
and you will be my sons and daughters,
says the Lord Almighty.”[e] (2Cor 6:16-18)

Too bad Seekerman wasn't around back then to straighten out Paul.

I'm not sure what you're suggesting here. We, as Jesus was, are temples of the Holy Spirit.
You are aware that Jesus' Father and God anointed Him with the Holy Spirit?

In a previous post, you said that the Holy Spirit was " God's divine power."
When i pointed out that the Spirit was the Father, you replied.." .OK. Is the spirit of Elijah, Elijah?"

First of all, an "anointing" does not make one the temple of God. Passages referring to us being God's temple are in reference to the new birth, something that could only happen post Calvary.
Secondly, Christ is not indwelt by the Spirit in the same sense we are. Our indwelling is for regeneration due to sin. Jesus had no sin. He was born indwelt by the Spirit, but in a different way. From his conception, all the fulness of the Godhead dwelt in him bodily.

For in Christ there is all of God in a human body; (Col 2:9)

The indwelling of the Spirit makes on a temple of God. Jesus was indwelt with the Spirit of God when He was anointed by His God and Father, God the Father. He was filled with the Spirit.....
Luk 4:1 And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness,
By the way, Jesus wasn't full of Himself nor did He lead Himself into the wilderness.

While Jesus was indwelt with the fullness of the Godhead, this wasn't until He was anointed with the Holy Ghost by His God and Father.
