I believe that we must die daily, and as we do so, we are sanctified. If we don't, we are not sanctified.

Why do we have to die daily, does the flesh revive every night while we sleep? If so would it not be better to always stay awake?
Please forgive my seeming sarcasm. I truly do not understand the thought process that we must die daily since once somthing id dead unless it is revived by God it remains dead.
