Re: Social drinking?

19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,

20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,

21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

Okay, what I am saying is if DRUNKENNESS(sin) will get you in hell, it all starts with a drink(little sin)....

Then lust(thinking of sinning) causes immorality(sin)

Therefore if you even think of touching something that will Biblically put you in hell, why take a chance.

Doesn't say it's a sin to drink wine. A little drink is not a little sin. That's catholic teaching that there are little sins and big sins.

You are changing the topic again. We are not discussing lust

  4. That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.

Drinking and eating to drunkenness is sinful. The Bible doesn't come against fermentation because fermentation was a process that their crushed grapes went through. The Middle East fermentation was done to their vegatables which is called Hamutzim. Also yogurts, and fermented milks like Kefir. The Passover wine was fermented. The Roman soldiers drank a cheap wine which is called vinegar.

Re: Social drinking?

Oh I forgot my favorite one the Turkish Ayran which is a fermented yogurt drink. It goes great with my other favorite Lahmacun! Lahmacun is like a Turkish pizza.

Every Purim!

"Rava said: It is one's duty levasumei, to make oneself fragrant [with wine] on Purim until one cannot tell the difference between 'arur Haman' (cursed be Haman) and 'barukh Mordekhai' (blessed be Mordecai)" (Babylonian Talmud, Megillah 7b). ~Abba ben Joseph bar Ḥama (c. 280 – 352 CE)
