Would it be impossible to imagine that families might just love each other and want to be close???????????????????????

Oh it surely couldn't be that. It has to be a control issue.

I personally think it's great when families want to live close to each other. But the particular family I refered to, you could call it a "control issue".

In fact, we are trying to get my FIL to move to our neighborhood!

On the PTL grounds the whole Bakker clan lived and I imagine the same with TBN that is WHEN Paul and Jan are living together are they conservative. The Humbards, Roberts, Swaggarts lived close were they closet conservatives? What drivel!!!!!!

A lot of families are close, but live apart. A son or daughter goes off to college and gets a job offer in a different city.

Living in a family commune means one of the following:

1. Parents want influence and some control over adult children
2. The adult child has given in to guilt against moving away on their own.
3. The parental bond is stronger than the marriage bond.
4. The parents had firm control of the children growing up.
5. The children probably never left home to go to college. (local college only)

Are saying it can NEVER be they just love and enjoy each other??????????
I do not argue that some of what you say no doubt is prevailent in some cases but I have known families that just love each other without control issues they are just close.

Can not buy that Pianoman...

Love is a strong force...My mother in law and father in law moved in with me not us with them...
After the bandits got in our home our son Michael at his wife's request moved in to "take" care of us and our unmarried son still at home...

Brother Epley is right...love is a strong bond and we are a "together" family. Yes, some live away thousands of miles but those here we live close and guess what? We study the Bible together almost everyday. Today's Bible study was awesome.

Yes, he sure does, because not everybody and everything in Oregon is conservative, much less 'ultra con'.

True, while most are varying shades of conservative, with a sprinkling of liberal churches in the mix. That always keeps things fun and exciting and interesting at camp meeting!!!
