Nothing wrong with disagreeing.

But when a preacher demands church members to not do something as though it were bible, when the reason behind it is as oddball as what it is against beards, then the pastor has no such authority. That is treating this rule as though it were bible. It's not a matter of whether or not one claims it is IN the bible for it to be adding to the Word, but whether or not it is a rule that POSES as though it WERE in the bible. Do what the bible says AND ALSO THIS, to be a church member. It gives the congregation a false understanding of what God wants.
