You pick a random example and broadbrush that for ALL of Christianity, i.e. Pentecost?

I lived in a pastor's home where the children threw my expensive watch in dishwater, poured Clorox on my laundry, and I could go on. I could tell you a lot more stories. Did I become bitter and blame God for people's actions? None of these things are God's fault.

You know what isn't random and what isn't a broadbrush? Saudi Arabia with a Muslim population of 97.1% and the largest supporter of Sharia Law. Clean up your own house before joining a forum to bash others.

Same paint I get painted with. How's it feel? Full of righteous indignation are you? I'm not sorry.

I picked more than 150 examples of dead kids - victims of fundamentalist homeschoolers and their religious kid-beating frenzy.

I just didn't list them. Do I need to? I told Pliny and I'll tell you - I don't care if this goes to 10,000 pages and I will list them all one by one.

Few pastors sprinkled in there come to think of it. Not opening links may not be a good strategy if you are going to comment on the bits and pieces that I randomly post from them.

Forgot to mention - that kid's dad was a licensed UPC minister. So no, I do not apply the brush to all of christianity. I apply it specifically to your slice of it.

Reiterate: I and my family are safer in Saudi Arabia than a kid in a pentecostal home surrounded by pentecostals who cover up the abuse they get. I knew you were pentecostal right away when your only comment about a story of a kid who got randomly shot for nothing was that so what - the lady who wrote it was catholic. Succinctly summarized your - and your fellows - value for life. Clean your own house.

Yes, there are just thousands and thousands and thousands and thousands of radical fundamentalist homeschoolers - just thousands! Oh, that's right, that isn't really true.

It isn't the fault of God nor His Gospel that these people can't read - "Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they be discouraged." Colossians 3:21

Punch away. You can also punch away at the Fred Phelps crowd while you are at it. They will certainly meet judgment with their hate filled misrepresentation of the Word of God.

I never said I didn't care about a child being shot. That is going to happen in a war zone, like it does in Israel by Palestinians. I didn't have to click the link to see that the letter appeared to be written by someone coming across as childish. More specifically, it didn't appear to be legit.

You keep citing acts committed by people who do not follow the Word of God. It just shows your bitterness. Whoever hurt you or showed you a bad example, you have to look past that or you just become a bitter person.

Human beings are not perfect. Where the problem would lie is IF the religion they followed condoned those acts. We know that Christianity does not.

However, you still have to contend with YOUR religion that instructs you to beat your wife, etc.. It doesn't matter whether you do or not. It matters that it is a religious instruction you endorse by your Quran.

I sure hope there are thousands. Otherwise, that's a pretty high murder rate compared to say your hero Jindal's murder rate of 10.8/100,000 (#1 top state 2013 yayyyyyyyy). So "Holy Cow" if there are 150 dead children among just a few thousand religious fundamentalist fanatic homeschoolers. You need to dilute that 150 among 1.3 million to achieve Jindal's murder rate.

That child was not shot in a war zone, nor was he shot inside Israeli borders.

LOL who's showing bitterness? I am showing you specific examples of people who are associated with your specific set of religious beliefs who interpreted those beliefs differently than you interpret them resulting in murder and torture then I am directly associating you with those actions because you are affiliated with exactly the same organizations that practiced them.

Reworded: Since that is your religious denomination, and they did it, then you are as guilty as they are. That makes you no better and no different than the worst of them, unless of course you want to volunteer to reject your faith for another. These are the rules of this thread, I accept and follow them, and expect all of you to follow them as well. I did not set these rules but I am highly amused at them.

WAIT ??Unless this is yet ANOTHER one of your "hypocritical zones"??

You seem mad. All that spitting tsk tsk. That would get someone belted but good in a fundamentalist god-fearing bible-believing homeschooling family.

Might get someone chained to something, or starved, or locked in a small space. We should look at some more of those stories and see what something like that WOULD earn a helpless kid.........

What you are trying to convey, in bold, isn't going to work. The largest majority of Christianity and even in the same ranks don't condone abusive actions. If that were not true, I would have, in my 30 years in this same faith, been aware of said abuse. I am not aware.

Your faith, on the other hand, doesn't speak out in a show of unity against the atrocities under what you want to term as a "guise" of Islam. Because of that, we cannot believe there is a untied outcry.

Your attempt to categorize the argument as the same is not the same.

Um, who is this "we" you speak of? And I'm curious how you might know--or not know--if the entire Muslim faith did speak out against some atrocity?

You are, wadr, pointing fingers at apostates a half-world away as your country burns to the ground--debt 105% of gdp, and calling Russian bonds "junk," i see a parallel here; and because of this, please understand that it makes it hard for us to see what the point is here.

Excellent. You're probably right. However send me the link to the place where all of you stood up as a wall against the referenced practices. I promise to open this imaginary link.

Naturally and of course if you cannot demonstrate it then it never happened and you may return to your world of hypocracy and double standards. Otherwise I am on record as to my view of those who practice violence in the name of my beliefs. Go.

On record here, under you screen name? Or on record somewhere under your real name?

Nope--there are actually hundreds of thousands now--and your gov considers them "terrorists."
