Please support your assertion. Please show all of us where the PAWs doctrinal stances have changed.

You were raised in the standards I practice?

Since you are using that as a response to what I posted...

Would you care to expound on what that means?

"I think the "relaxed" standards of the PAW make it a more..."

Holiness is inward and outward. This holiness Doctrine we oneness, Jesus name, tongue talking Apostolics live and preach is straight out of the scripture.
If you need the Chapter an verse: will you believe if you see it in the Bible?

if you are referring to their outward dress, that has changed with the times. Some may have held to certain standards such as no makeup, jewelry, shorts, short sleeves, etc, but I never knew there to be organizational guidelines. They may have looked more like the UPCI years ago, but as fashions have changed their attire has changed with it. They still dress modestly, but of course that is subjective.

They still teach oneness, jesus name baptism, speaking in tongues, second coming, etc etc. Doctrinally they are the same as UPCI, outward 'holiness' standards of theirs are different.

Are you in disagreement because of their appearance or official doctrinal stances? If doctrinal stances, then show us where they don't align doctrinally with the UPCI.

I'm going off my experiences growing up, some assumptions about you, and some of what I remember of your posts.

As far as how I was raised in relation to exterior holiness standards:

Women were not allowed to cut their hair, wear make-up, wear jewelry, wear shorts or pants, or wear sleeveless dresses/shirts. The skirts were typically down to the ankles and the older women almost always had their hair up.

The men had to be clean shaven, no long hair and no facial hair. We were not allowed to wear shorts or swim without a shirt on.

The PAW as an organization does not hold on to these types of exterior standards although some Pastors are more strict than others.

I pose the same question to you as i've posed to others. Aside from exterior holiness standards, how does the PAW differ doctrinally than the UPCI? Some want to throw stones at the PAW citing that they've changed, but aside from some website changes, no one has been able to offer concrete evidence that the PAW has abandoned their oneness apostolic teachings.

Yes by all means...please show me where I missed the verse where men are commanded that they are unworthy to minister if they have facial hair in the NT church? It isn't showing up in any of my bibles, concordances or search tools.

PAW I know of, doesn't believe that you must receive the Holy Ghost with the initial evidence of speaking with other tongues as God gives the ability. Some PAW believe in death bed salvation. Yet, to be fair you have those within both groups, even the outer dress can vary in U.P. churches. Like water seeks its own level fellowship within these two organization will seek each other out who believe the same. Yet, basing belief on a "statement of faith" or Minister's Manual may not be believed by every card holding preacher.

Christianity is like the universe and our own solar system. we in this solar system live in the habitable zone, but as you move out towards the universe it becomes more inhabitable. The Apostolic One God movement is the habitable zone, as you move out from that you end up going further out among the inhabitable zone, it may look pretty, but eventually it kills you.

Altough there's already some hot topics and threads on Standards in the forum; I'll touch briefly about my own feelings about it.
I personally think facial hair is discernment of judgment call by conservitive leadership and for good reason; which we could start [or there might be one already] another thread and discuss.
But the makeup, dress code and jewelry is in The Bible.
And can't be denied its there...sorry I'm limited on time with my work schedule otherwise id post the Scriptures too..
But you keep saying "besides that" [referring to their appearance] "their doctrine is the same". Look up what happened to the Nicolations: they started mixing the flesh [or the worldy things] with the the right message but Jesus was not happy with them.
Hopefully most of the PAW,s dont go along with this "new" teaching, because it looks to me like they have moved away from sound Doctrine: a lot of church's usually go downhill from there, unless they repent of course.
These are the "last days" and perilous times are here!
We need to be praying for each other that we stay strong in the Lord: and coming out from amongst them and being separate is one of the ways we do this.
