Wings of an eagle is not the USA.

I think the phrase, "wings of an eagle" can imply different things in different situations. I agree with the Baxter article I quoted earlier and believe that Daniel 7 clearly references America as a country and the lack of a reference to an eagle to the one conglomerated beast in Revelations reflects the reality that America will not be a part of the NWO, mark of the beast, etc.

Personally, I prefer to look from within the scriptures themselves to see if a prior use of a term is recorded and see what it meant to them then. Anything else can lead to speculation which leads to private or different interpretation from the writers.
