These two statements refute the doctrine of the Trinity. They destroy rather than support the false doctrine.

The CO-EQUALITY business goes down the tube.

You claim Jesus is God a separate and distinct person apart from the Father and this Divine Person who is God has a God???????????

TWO GODS?????????????????????????????????????????????

For future reference and discussions and to keep this discussion civil and based on rational discussion of what the bible says, because it is our rule of faith, please do not disparage the beliefs of others as "trash" or other sort of terms.

If you find that you are unable to make intelligent rational arguments and have to resort to emotive rhetoric, then this and other discussions like this are probably not for you

SHOW ME where I EVER said Jesus is "a separate and distinct person."

If you're going to disagree with me then STOP LYING about what I claim!

I said no such thing. The MAN Christ Jesus is not God at all, He is a man. It is as the logos (see John 1), the divine expression, that Jesus is God. It is not the flesh that is divine, it's the divinity that is divine.

Re: Oneness and Trinitarian Unity?

Shalom Shalom

The only Unity that could come to pass and should be.Is that the TRINITARIANS be converted to the Oneness of the Godhead.Full plan of salvation and doctrine. Then there could be real truth.

Brother, I beg to differ.

I came to the Lord and received the Holy Ghost in a Trinitarian church in 1980. The Holy Ghost is "Christ IN us", correct? How then could I and millions of others embrace a "different Jesus" than the one who indwells those in Oneness Pentecostal ranks? That is an impossibility Biblically.

I was licensed with the Assemblies of God from 1986 to 1993. Since 1993 I have been licensed with the UPC. My relationship with God began in 1980, NOT in 1993.

I'm not advocating wholesale embracing of everything that labels itself "Pentecostal", but I respectfully suggest that you examine the statement you made in light of what I've posted. God bless you.

Re: Oneness and Trinitarian Unity?

the best answer to the question of oneness and trinity is, jesus said if you see me you have seen my father also because i and my father are one, remember jesus always spoke in parables. he was telling his desciples he was god. Read john 14:7

Jesus declared Himself the Son of God

He also prayed in John 17 that he wanted his disciples to be one as he and is father are one.

No doubt its the same jesus that answers both prayers from either side of the House. I have seen a man in a trinitarian church get insta healed of cancer, and verified from doctors, after the mans foot was washed.

we are baptized into the Body of Christ by One Spirit, weather we are jew or gentile, of if we are trinitarian or oneness so to speak, we have recieved a Spirit of adoption by the same Spirit.

Re: Oneness and Trinitarian Unity?

To those it applies... brothers, watch your attitudes. John 13:35 does not include "doctrine" as a demonstration that you are Christ's disciple.
