It says it clearly, Sister.

Ultimately it will be up to all of us to submit to the Word, the Spirit and ministry in sifting ... I don't see an inconsistency in Ron's statement ... I think that both Mich and Ron acknowledge the role of these things in their spiritual journey ... A reminder might be warranted ... but we are not dealing w/ immature believers ...

Michelle described herself as a spiritual teenager.
Teenagers definitely need the guidance of authority figures in their lives.
Do you disagree?
I have stayed out of this thread, partially because Michelle is someone I have been burdened for and have prayed for, and I don't want to get in conflict with her.
But I fear she is making some unwise decisions, and I hate to see wrong concepts trotted out that reinforce the faulty thinking.

Sometimes what seems unwise is actually a step of faith. I also have concerns for her, but I know also that if her heart is right that God will be with her.

As gently as I can say this, I have to assert that areas of clear violation of Scriptural principles (and I am not talking about standards) are indicators that all might not be well as far as heart condition and desire for truth goes.

No, a peek into Michelle's words and her own report of her actions.
I love Michelle in the Lord, and have prayed for her often and will continue to.
But when people withdraw and isolate themselves from the influences that God has ordained, in clear opposition to the Scripture, it is what it is.

No it's your perception of her actions ... she is re-examining her faith .... and that goes in stages ... especially if she is in a setting that she deems is teaching extrabiblical doctrine ...

Hmm. What has been in clear oppostion? Is she failing to attend a church? Getting drunk? Smoking dope? Trimming her hair? What?

Sister Michlow,
You may not agree with all the pastor preaches but you have to be saved.
Committing spiritual suicide is not an option.Sometimes you have to just
stand and wait on God to deliver you or maybe ask yourself if there is
not another underlying problem going on with you that makes you feel
the way you do or respond to the preaching in the manner the way
you are? I ask myself this alot.My husband was without a job for about two
months. This weighed on me so heavily that nothing made me happy.
Think long and hard and have an option before you give up your lifeline.
I read where you said its been three years in the making.Have you
finally thrown in the towel and given up after three years?
I would post differently but I don't see where you are leaving one church
for another.I only see where you are staying home.Red lights are going off
and I hear a siren going. Its 911.I am going to really get to praying for you.
You need revival.
