Per WaPO, USAToday and a few other rags, the number is approximately 2,000 troops. Most were sent there in 2015 and 2016 by Obama. I did read that in early 2017, there were spec ops troops sent to Syria, but there wasn't a number listed.

He started by posting that it was useless for Trump and Congress to pass bills which could have a positive effect on minorities. "More gibs for the unending gibsmedats?" Still unsure what he's posting here. I have a thought of what he's doing, but I'd just be regurgitating communist talking points.

He goes further to say it's useless for the GOP to pander to minorities because they'll never vote GOP. That doing so somehow alienates the base and would "eventually result in things going in a direction that current GOP supporters would not desire."

Again unsure what he's talking about. By reaching out to minorities, it doesn't mean changing position on conservative issues. Polls show a large percentage of minorities share conservative values.
