And now it's unnecessary because the service is so loud, you can't hear them crying.

I don't have a problem with any show of exuberance being displayed during the preaching. In that I mean when the Holy Ghost is confirming His Word there will naturally be people His Word is reaching, therefore, you will generally have some response. It is powerful, anointed and awesome when the response is genuine.

What I do have a problem with is people who feel forced to respond because they need to be a part and are petted for it.

I heard a preacher yell, after a man ran around the church, "There's your true worshiper!!!" Wow, I thought the little old lady on her knees was also a true worshiper. It is just putting a stigma and blessing on the ones that are the loudest. I can't agree with that type of teaching.

I do have a problem with a woman that won't remove her child if she can't quiet the child down. That is just not being respectful to the other people in the assembly or the minister who is trying to preach.

I take my baby out the minute she starts to fuss. Major pet peeve of mine is distracting children of any age. Especially when they sit on the front row. GET A CLUE!

I agree! We have a couple that has a daughter, about five years old, that just defies everything they say to her. She was standing on a songbook the other night and they told her to get off of it. She looked at them and smiled and stood on it again.

I would have dragged her out and spanked her for every time she did it. Little brat!

I remember my daughter walking up and asking me something at church when she was five. I said, "No." She said, "O.K." and walked off. One of the men said, "Man, that was easy." I said, "She knows she'll get it if she causes a scene."

Sometimes it's equally distracting have parents taking their kids out for every little thing as it is with kids acting up.

Agreed, which is why they should sit as close to the back (or door) as possible.
