If a youth were to put in earplugs on an old song that they didn't care for, such as, How Great Thou Art, they'd get royally chewed out for doing so and probably get lectured besides.
I don't care for all the new songs but neither do I care for all the old songs. If I can't worship God to it but the kids in my youth group can, GREAT! Let em worship! And vice versa! No need to be disrespectful about it. Just wait for the next song and hopefully it will be one that you can worship to as well. JMO.

Amen, LR...my young nephew showed up at my house one day with Bible in hand. He came into my bedroom, sat in my rocking chair, and began to tell me, through the Scriptures, that God wants us to sing a NEW song.
So he discerned that it's out with the old and in with the new...
I was seated at my computer and reached over for my Strong's. I said, "Boy, one of the meanings for 'new' is
fresh...Glen,
Amazing Grace can become fresh to you."
He sorta came off his high horse after that...
