I can feel (verb) that sandpaper is rough, but that's not my feeling (noun) about sandpaper.
I can feel (verb) there is a dark spirit present at church, but that's not my feeling (noun) about church.
'Feelings' can also mean 'opinions', and perhaps that the context someone is making when they say he was speaking his 'feelings'.
Opinions are like noses...everyone has one, but they don't look the same.
I might think you have a big nose and you might think I have a pug nose, but our opinions don't make us right except in our own minds, and our expression of those opinions don't need to be backed up with facts, nor are retractions in order with the failure of producing those facts.
I agree that some statements he made to be factual should be backed up, but his 'feelings' about the situation are just that.....his feelings. He isn't inviting us to agree with them.
My feelings are the BS is dead wrong by making his statements. And I could care less if it is a verb or a noun.

I'm not sure how you can be sure he's wrong when you can't possibly know his feelings other than by what he's stated.
I mean, if you are married, you feel love for your wife. I certainly can't come along and tell you that I think you are wrong when you voice that feeling, can I? I mean, how could I possibly be so sure???
If BS said he felt something, you might not have felt it, but that doesn't mean he didn't. I have been to services where I felt absolutely nothing but it was obvious that others were feeling something by the way they were shouting and praising. I would be wrong to state they were wrong just as much as they would be to state I was wrong by saying I felt nothing in that service.

Oh great, here we go, I was waiting for THIS card to be pulled out of the deck, sheesh! Whatever Matt!!!
I remember this same hogwash about an apostolic band back in the day and if I would have listened to this nonsense, I would not have darkened a church door. It was Christian rock musicians who reached out to me and met me at the point of MY needs...I related to them and THEIR experience. Sheesh.
Although that is no longer my preference of music, I thank GOD for it, it was an avenue to HIM. Puhleeeeze, how old are you???????
So "christian bands" that play music that resembles "Death Metal" are ok in your book??
Maybe I am getting an even better education as to why the many in the church have no spiritual sense about them to recognize demonic spirits at work in their midst.

This quote from another thread says it best.
Before you get all smug with your response, consider what BS did.
He bemoaned one single service. Acted like it was the end of the world for the church. Made it seem as though we were all lost and going to hell . . . or at least those in the LA Campmeeting were. *grin* He even went as far as to buy a dumb black shirt to wear with a black suit to show everyone he was mourning. He posted scriptures on woe and sacloth and ashes.
Then suddenly he woke up the next day, went to church and VIOL! Everything was good and back on the right path.
Yes, to answer the dumb statement, I have been in a bad service before and a better service the next. However, I didn't don a black suit and insult the move of God that was felt by more than one by suggesting that it was a signal of doom and gloom . . . a dark ages for the church.
I have a huge problem believing the problem wasn't just one man's return to a place he hadn't been in 25 years. He didn't recognize it because a lot changes in 25 years.
But instead of simply accepting it as just that . . . change . . . instead we get an awful diatribe against a fellow minister and other parts of the service.

BS did more than just share his what he felt at the service. He leveled direct accusations against another minister. Accusations that, as of yet, are baseless and should be retracted.
Whereas we are not mentioning any names...we are being very specific about a certain event. One can say that they did not like the music, etc...however, to call their music and worship as idol and demonic and to say so about a UPC district and a UPC church....and allowing this to continue is just really beyond me.
It's amazing that nothing was said about any other singer that sung on any other days of the campmeeting. You had one guy up there..strumming away on a geee-tar who is so full of self-promotion....but nothing said. POA gets up and sings song about the Lord...and it is an idol and demonic. I just can't understand WHY this has even been allowed to go this far.
(BTW...I would be saying the same thing if it was VM's choir who was doing the same.)
I will furthermore say that if this was said about Mooney's church or another church of high esteem by conservatives...it would have been yanked off in a soft delete. But because it is of those...MANGUNS....well, it's open season.
He said the worship was like the golden calf worship that Moses encountered and that it was driven by "another spirit".
Who was in charge of the worship?
POA...
So what does it really matter at this point what he wrote concernng VM and POA in the past?
His comments about the camp worship...driven primarily as influenced by POA...must show that he now disagrees with the direction not only of the camp, but of the influencing factor--POA.
I don't think he made an indictment against POA. People can respond inappropriately to anyone leading worship.

Socal,
You are coming very close to accusing admin of being partial in this post. I do not appreciate that at all. We have just as many "more liberal" moderators and admin as we have "more conservative". If you do not like it here, you have the choice not to read.
Its funny how we are soooo controlling until we start letting some threads run their course that go against your grain, and then we are just partial.

I have never heard Christian Death metal so I don't know, hows that for an answer on this forum...I don't know!!!
You feel free to put whomever you want into the "pit of Hell" as YOU referred it...as far as your education, trust me, you had better NOT be talking about my church and saying demonic spirits are at work from the inside. Of course my church has demonic spirits at work...to try and hinder the wonderful things of GOD that we are attempting, but if you try that pit of hell tactic on me, or my pastor, or my church, you're opening a can of worms you don't want to mess with...understand? Good!
