I think what we have is a contradiction of terms. I teach my Church extensively about being friends to those 'publicans and sinners' (hehe) but to 'fellowship' in a biblical sense seems to carry the connotation that there is an exchange of spirits and an acceptance of beliefs.
In that faction I preach to be a friend to all but have a strong Apostolic base of fellowship. Works for us as I have a great Church... revival Church.
Again, be friends to everyone but be very cautious what you exchange spirits and accept the beliefs of. I think that is where some of our confusion on the thread is.

I am fully aware of what you brothers mean by "fellowship". I've just been tossing out a little different definition so that we can clarify what we all really mean when we use the term fellowship in this discussion. I'm all for friendship with the lost that if by any means we might save some. Having someone who doesn't know true salvation to get up to try speak/preach it from our pulpits would just be crazy.
