Protection from pride? Brother, have you never seen how stuck up apostolic people can be sometimes? I don't see dress codes providing any protection in this area, that's for sure.

Idolatry? I don't see that connection at all, to be honest with you.

Self-worship? There may be a little somethin somethin staying covered up would do for this area, although I don't know very many people that don't follow op dress codes who have an issue with self-worship.
