Not all Oneness believers speak the same things. Neither do all Trinitarians. I don't think it is desperate at all. Your being second generation Oneness means nothing. It carries no more authority than me being first generation.
Did you know back in the 1940's being Pentecostal meant you would be ridiculed and persecuted in the USA? They spoke evil of them but perhaps history will not speak so evil since the Catholic church doesn't rule along with political governments as it did then.
I'm very passionate that what I believe from the Bible is the truth. I have no doubts. I have examined it for myself. Because of that I can without hesitation affirm: The Lord is good, his mercy is everlasting and his TRUTH endures to all generations. The truth of the new birth and one God who is singular in number according the word of God has ENDURED to All generations. It may not have made the history books during certain periods of history, but the truth was believed somewhere on this planet. And just like the Chinese Christians have to go underground, I believe Oneness believers did as well. God will reserve himself a remnant.

Have you read the book The Heavenly Man? He played a large part in the starting of the Chinese underground church. His book is an eye opener.

Its a good book.
An early thrust in the vision of Back to Jerusalem came when God gave a clear call to a small group of Christians studying at the Northwest Bible Institute in Shaanxi Province in the early 1940s.
You can read about the history here.

I read it, and read it to my family during our devotional time. I also corresponded with Paul Hattaway for a while. And lastly, just recently, I had the privilege of hearing Bro Hun speak in person at Christ Church here in Nashville.
My wife and I have a burden for China, and know we will go there one day.

Yes, I think they were living in Hong Kong, and worked in Mainland China.

Sir, isn't Paul Hattaway a Trinitarian?

The book itself gave a very telling experience of China, which is the place of my burden. I corresponded with Paul Hattaway, who is trinitarian, not because of doctrine, but because I wanted to know more of what is happening in China. This is also the reason I went and saw Bro Yun at Christ Church. It had nothing to do with my believing their doctrine. It had everything to do with my burden.
As far as the book, it is worth the read. I sat and devoured it in one sitting. Again, while I do not accept every wind of doctrine that comes along, the book was very little doctrine, and mostly experience of the underground church in China, and Bro Yuns experiences and persecutions.
