Daniel, why are you so intent on defending a poster's right to call men of God liars and charlatans?

What gives?

is that really how you want to align yourself?

This is not a lib/con issue.
Perceptions and a failure to compartmentalize ... your implications mean nothing because I do not accept your interpretation of the thread.

Luke 6: 26-28,

"Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for

so did their fathers to the false prophets".

"But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies,

do good to them which hate you, do good to them

which hate you,

"Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which

despitefully use you".

Whatever you are trying to say, cool.

No problem.

We don't have to agree.

Admin has pledged to deal with the issue, and that is good enough for me.

Many others see it the same as I do. You appear to be in the minority here. The agreement transcends the boundaries of liberal and conservative, so this is not an issue of ideology being defended. It is far bigger than that.

I'd like to clarify that I personally did not say anything against this specific event, but I will also say that I do not ever remember a prophecy ever coming true... the prophets always find some way to weasel out of it, or whatever they prophesied was something that was inevitable anyway.

It's funny how prophecies are not prophecies until they come true, kinda like lottery numbers... if they are wrong, then it was just speculation over the pulpit and not actually a "prophecy"... except for the people stupid enough to write books about them, then they have a harder time denying them.

But I would also like to make it clear that I will not and never will apologize for my opinions... growing up in the "fold" and not being allowed to have an opinion different than the status quo has made me all the more assertive in my right to have an opinion as I grow older. I do not mean to be the kid who ruins Christmas by telling all the other kids that there isn't a Santa Claus... but I do believe I have just as much right to doubt as someone else has a right to believe... and since I no longer have any superstitious fear, I don't have to keep my thoughts to myself as long as I share them in a polite way.

Dear Sister,

Thank you for posting the passages of Scripture.

If I were the one under attack, I would hsave kept silent.

Jesus never defended Himself, but He did defend others.

This was a matter of principle with me.

Brad,

You never spoke disparagingly of this particular event.

That is the difference between your posts and RW's.

You and I disagree on most things, but I think we have generally managed to do it politely.

I think that removing ones freedom to doubt is somewhat limiting the scope to convince...

I don't think the offense warrants all of this...talk...

to me it can breed superstition and fear...

If we want to elevate men we can...but who gets the glory...

I have experienced and have seen the gifts of the Spirit used mightily in operation and was blessed and have seen them misused mightily too...

It makes NO difference to me what one person (or persons) thinks one way or the other...if it's real and from God their ministry will stand... if it's not than it will fail...

I've seen Men stand...and I've seen Men fail... but in all God will recieve the Glory...
Having never met Steadfast personally...
I will say that Steadfast has been NOTHING but a Gentleman and a Man who Follows God and gives Him the Glory here on AFF and I suspect it is that way all of the time for those who know him personally...

I seriously doubt one persons doubt will effect one way or the other... God calls men to do his Work and not men....

this is just my opinion for what it's worth...

I have no desire to remove anyone's freedom to doubt.

But freedom to label these men as fakes is another matter.

A Night of Supernatural Events

There are lots of things on this forum that I question, but I respect the men/women who wrote them. CAN'T WE ALL JUST GET ALONG???????

Sis. Sherri,

My pastor dad used to teach about loving our enemies, each other, etc.,

etc.,. He would say, "If you can't love and pray for each other as your

husband or wife,or your brother or sister, pray for them as an enemy.

We are commanded to LOVE our enemies and PRAY for them". So if

we can't interact, and we re-act to words spoken, if we can just steal

away and pray for our "enemy or enemies". It might not change them or

their words, but it might just change us. It's not an admission of saying

they are right and we are wrong! It's submitting to God's Word. Humbling

ourselves under the mighty Hand of God!!! I call it my "crawling under

the alter". Humbing myself!

Blessings,

Falla39
