I'd like to clarify that I personally did not say anything against this specific event, but I will also say that I do not ever remember a prophecy ever coming true... the prophets always find some way to weasel out of it, or whatever they prophesied was something that was inevitable anyway.
It's funny how prophecies are not prophecies until they come true, kinda like lottery numbers... if they are wrong, then it was just speculation over the pulpit and not actually a "prophecy"... except for the people stupid enough to write books about them, then they have a harder time denying them.
But I would also like to make it clear that I will not and never will apologize for my opinions... growing up in the "fold" and not being allowed to have an opinion different than the status quo has made me all the more assertive in my right to have an opinion as I grow older. I do not mean to be the kid who ruins Christmas by telling all the other kids that there isn't a Santa Claus... but I do believe I have just as much right to doubt as someone else has a right to believe... and since I no longer have any superstitious fear, I don't have to keep my thoughts to myself as long as I share them in a polite way.
