Why couldn't she have a plain black unitard made, so the colors don't interfere with school rules? The guy said, "a single-solid color and unadorned, except for a single school name or insignia no more than 2 1/4 inches."
This is really not an issue of religious persecution, because if they were allowing her to wear the body-covering unitard out of respect for her religious beliefs, then she should have returned the favor by making sure it was a solid color in compliance with the rules of the meet.
I don't see anywhere in this article where she was asked to take off her unitard. She was asked to wear one that was plain. Since when do Muslims have a problem wearing plain or black or plain black?
