I have a feeling if the burger and french fries were placed down in the same paper bag as the potatoes, a bit of mold would probably take place.

Also, stomach acid does a good job of breaking foods down--something that room temperature air can't do.

Overall, I agree that McDonald's (or any other kind of "fast food") isn't good for you--but not for the reasons she cited necessarily.

Intriguing little video, but not scientifically sound I'm afraid.
As a food manager and having worked at MCD's, I must respectfully disagree. There are so many preservatives in their food that to eat them is to prepare one's own body for burial.
Also, the food has been cooked so many times by the time it is consumed by the patron that the actual food value is questionable at best. In this instance, the item consumed will indeed be stored as fat since it cannot be properly digested.
Little is said about preservatives by the establishment, but they are generally toxic in the body. The body when trying to eliminate toxins will if unable to do so create fat storage for the purpose of taking them out of the blood. When grossly overweight people begin to diet, they often experience flu like symptoms. This is a direct result of those toxins that have been stored in fatty pockets being released and the body's attempt to remove them.
Many of the preservatives that we consume are derived from petroleum. Yes, the same thing that we get gasoline and motor oil from. Many medicines are also drawn from it.
I recently heard that some research was done and the average American (due to diet choices) consumes a gallon of motor oil per year in food, medicines, styrofoam products, plastics, etc. Motor oil is toxic as the day is long.
If you want to be healthier, stop eating fast food. Or at least limit it to a treat instead of a way of life. Cook at home. At least then you know what is in your food, how clean the environment in which it was prepared was, how healthy it can be potentially, and how fattening it will be.

We (my wife and I) went organic about 7 years ago. We have experienced the finest health that either of us has had in our lives.
Our medicine has become more natural as well. I am currently studying herbal remedies and discovering that they really do work and the side effects are generally minimal or non-existent.

For example: I take dandelion root for edema in my legs. It works so well. Generally, when taking a manmade diuretic, an increase in potassium intake is required since the body tends to flush a lot of this out along with excess fluid.
Dandelion is a natural source of potassium. God was smart enough to know that we needed the extra and already put it in the remedy for our health's sake.
What a great God that we serve!

thanks for posting this... edema in the legs every so often is the only health issue I have... I have used diuretics before, but since my blood pressure runs with both numbers under 100 as normal.... the medicine makes it drop that much more and I just can't handle it. Now if I could ever give up table salt, I might not have the problem in the first place..but until God delivers me..I struggle w/a love of salt.

I will have to look for Dandelion root at the Health food store...
thanks..
