Re: Spitzer Spritaer
Maybe she actually believes in "til death do us part" and is willing to forgive her husband. Have any of you "Christian" women considered that?

I'm not criticizing her for standing by her man. I just don't think I have what it takes to do that. I haven't ever been in that position, so I can't say for certain.

I think you do. We do alot in the heat of the moment that we don't want to, just to try to "save face". My guess is, she won't be standing so closely when all this public stuff is over.

Meaningless sex with prostitutes is much easier to forgive than an actual love affair, in my opinion. Not trying to minimize what he did, mind you, but there is a difference.

I agree there is a difference, but there is more than just the meaningless sex. The sex, the lies, the deceit....

Well, for all we know she knew about what he was doing and was ok with it. Maybe she didn't want to fulfill her wifely duty in that department and gave him the green light to see prostitutes. It wouldn't be the first time a wife agreed to let her husband go that route. We really don't know all the details. At any rate, this situation certainly has to be very embarassing for both of them.

If they were both busy and drinking AND possibly doing some drugs - cocaine - they, more than likely, didn't really care. They couldn't have really cared. I think it's a lot like that movie with Tim Allen and Kirsti Alley - For Richer, For Poorer.

You have a point and as their lives are in the higher echelon, she might not really care about what he did as long as they lived and rubbed shoulders in high society. There is a price that must be paid.
