Re: Spitzer Spritzer
There is a situation here with the mayor of a large city in our state...
It is quite a deal and involved, but it appears that there has been a long history of partying and such at the mayor's mansion.
However, the major deal seems to be this...from the Associated Press...
"In a trial over a lawsuit against the city brought by two police officers who said they were wrongfully fired (they were investigating money matters and more), (the mayor and his former top aide) denied under oath that they had been romantically involved."
The crux is that sexually explicit text messages have been made quite public, showing that at the time they were testifying, they were deeply involved sexually. The transcripts have been shown and read repeatedly on radio, tv, and in newspapers.
The prosecutor is "deciding whether to charge (them) with perjury."
Seems to me it's a no-brainer...if they lied under oath, that's a crime.
On top of all of that, city funds were used, it appears, for hush money purposes, and deals under the table have been...and possibly much more...every day it seems there is a new development.
But through it all, the man stands strong that this is between he and his wife, and he refuses to resign, calling it, "lynch-mob tactics."
It's ridiculous...there has to be accountability for sin, regardless of who it is in...president, governor, mayor...whomever it may be.

It's very obvious he committed perjury. I don't know what the prosecutor is hemming and hawing about.
And there are serious questions about who killed a stripper who had been linked to a party at his mansion. Who know's what'll turn up if investigators look under that rug.

It's a tragic state of affairs, no pun intended, for a young man who has done so much for the city he presides over.

I never got the impression he was that good.
I always felt he was more hype than substance.
Maybe you know otherwise, but that's always the feeling I had.

Could be right...I just always read he had done a lot of good for the city, but as I not from there, I couldn't say with surety.
