There is a difference receiving the baptism of the Spirit. I know the difference it makes in a person's life. I know the difference it made in mine. It ushered me into a new place as far as kingdom work and kingdom ministry was concerned. Gifts that I hadn't had and anointing I hadn't had were mine after I received that enduement of power.
However I HAD been born again several years before I received that experience.
The young men and women at Topeka who received the baptism of the Spirit didn't testify to being born again. They weren't seeking it for that purpose. They wanted the same power, gifting and anointing they saw evidenced in the book of Acts. They were Hungry, they were Seeking and they were filled.
But they weren't seeking to get salvation. That wasn't the purpose of what any of the 120 gathered in the Upper Room either.
Jesus did NOT tell His disciples to wait for an enduement of power for salvation.
