I can't control who they let in the pulpit at any conference. In my opinion it is very easy to have a powerful, exciting service without resorting to "hype". We do it all the time.
I think YC is for the most part what it needs to be, a lot of these kids come from smaller churches with not a lot going for the youth. So, in that setting, I don't have a problem with it being mostly hype and excitement, the kids need to get fired up. But then they start to grow and mature in their relationship with God, and their needs should change.
I am never comfortable with putting down other denominations or the typical "the whole world is going to hell, but we are right, bless God" types of statements that I hear at a lot of events.

I agree about YC. not only that., they have added a lot of classes
in the daytime that they didn't have years ago which i think brought
good balance.
I think campmeeting night services needs to continue to be
exciting and refreshing too and not a bible study ( that's what
I gather you would want it to be?). like you said about the
youth, a lot of saints come from small churches where they
Probably get a lot of teaching all year and need some exciting
music and worship

or at least until the single guy on the organ is ready to go eat large amounts of simple carbs watching the clock strike midnight!

NO! That is not what I said at all, not remotely. I just think that the way it is done and what is being said, happens to be important.
I actually said I enjoy exciting services if you would READ what I said. I just said if I had to choose, I would choose the Word.
