What if you're a polite geologist? In the classroom you'd wear one set of clothes, out in the field under a 120 degree sun you would wear a different set of clothing.

I don't think he's talking about at the office, but everywhere else. I'm wearing them now as I sit here.... And to the grocery store. It is standard clothing here in AZ.
But.... Where the situation requires it, I wear dress pants: to work, to Church, any formal function....
