Never understood why in some churches a woman can wear skirts to "below her knees" but a man can't wear his pants to below his knees

Let it be understood that Apostolic Friends Forum is an Apostolic Forum.
Apostolic is defined on AFF as:
- There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.

Prax have you ever seen a man in a respectable line of work
wearing shorts ??? such as in an office or a doctor,etc
This is just where the line is drawn even in polite society
