I would say that the church has experienced less power from God because of the cares of the world...which include lifestyle "freedoms." I don't consider them minor. The same fight to accept radio is the same spirit that is fighting to accept all media. The things that enticed carnality back then are accepted today.

There sure has been a shift, now that I think about it...and it has been going on for longer than we know.

This is my take on it:
The current is shifting. Not everyone will be able to keep afloat. Some will drown and die. Others will be carried off into false doctrine. But, that happens all the time.
Those that don't want to go with the current will let down their anchor and stay put.

Not all change is bad. Do you not listen to the radio??

Every form of media I see hear is for entertainment. I conduct business on the internet, but surfing is for entertainment. I don't need it, except to conduct business, which, in and of itself, can be scary for those who don't believe in the rapture proceding the tribulation.

Those who do "need" media for entertainment have very shallow lives.

I vote this for most asinine post of the week.

  1. There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
  2. The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
  3. Every sinner must repent of their sins.
  4. That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
  5. That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
  6. The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

Well, I can't help your interpretation or reading comprehension, so, I really don't know what to say.

No need to feel sorry for me, Prax, my church doesn't have less power, nor does it have more power. God has always been in the midst of our church and when we received His Spirit, we have always been endued with power from on high.

You can't handle the phenomenon that people who believe in the things you despise under the Apostolic umbrella really do have power from God. I feel sorry for the way you limit God and put him in a little box that only Prax thinks He can work in or from.

Oh come on. That is the most sophomoric attempt at insulting it's only used now by the total neophyte. Come up with something original to express your hatred.

You were the one saying the church was powerless

That didn't make any sense. I don't hate anything under the Apostolic umbrella nor do I deny we have power. YOU were the one talking about a lack of power in the church, not me

How do I limit God? Im not the one that asserted the church had less power, YOU did.

I feel sorry for Jekyll. His church has less power than it used to
